Brett A. "Ben" Rogers

Overview

Brett (“Ben”) Rogers is a partner at Rogers & Hardin LLP. His practice focuses on complex business litigation, including securities litigation and arbitration, and general commercial litigation.  He has been named a Georgia "Super Lawyer" in Securities Litigation for each of the last several years.

Ben was admitted to the Bar in Georgia in 1991. He also is licensed to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Representative Experience

• Represented major financial institutions and other clients in hundreds of cases adjudicated in the federal and state courts and in various arbitration forums, including the NASD, NYSE and AAA.
• Represented major financial institutions and other clients in defending various class actions and individual cases involving alleged fraud issues, corporate and board investigations, and alleged financial and accounting irregularities.
• Served as one of a handful of lawyers selected to be primarily responsible as lead trial counsel for handling several hundred customer arbitrations throughout the nation relating to allegedly fraudulent securities research issued by a major financial institution.
• Represented major brokerage firm in defending more than 150 arbitration claims, filed in more than twenty different states, arising from allegations relating to the employee stock option plans of global telecommunications companies.
• Represented major insurance company in defending a putative nationwide class action filed in Georgia state court alleging unfair and deceptive trade practices in the sale of life insurance policies.
