Lloyd S. Kim



Lloyd Kim is an associate in Rogers & Hardin’s corporate group.  Lloyd represents public and private companies in the area of corporate law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, securities law, corporate finance and corporate governance.

Lloyd earned his Juris Doctor from the Fordham University School of Law in 2010, where he was a member of the Fordham Law Review.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Emory University in 2002.

Prior to joining Rogers & Hardin, Lloyd practiced in the New York office of a prestigious multinational law firm.

Lloyd is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.

Representative Experience

  • Represented group of underwriters in securities class action lawsuits involving more than $50 billion in mortgage pass-through certificates.
  • Represented private equity investor and her investment firm in numerous matters related to her portfolio companies and multi-billion dollar distressed debt CLO funds.
  • Represented global  financial institution in connection with investigations by US and international competition authorities into the setting of LIBOR and other reference rates and investigations by US authorities related to the foreign currency exchange (FX) spot market; obtained conditional immunity and negligence-based settlements for client regarding certain rates.
  • Represented community coalition in a lawsuit involving the federally-protected parkland status of the Tobacco Warehouse, a Civil War-era building in Brooklyn Bridge Park that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places; obtained a preliminary injunction in federal district court.
