Rogers & Hardin attorneys Richard H. Sinkfield, Catherine M. Bennett and Julia B. Stone, in conjunction with a team from Dentons including Natalie J. Spears, Anthony T. Eliseuson and Kristen C. Rodriguez, have secured a dismissal of charges for Dow Jones in a recent proposed class action in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. On Friday, Judge Mark Cohen dismissed a proposed class action claiming Dow Jones & Co. violated the Video Privacy Protection Act by collecting and sharing consumers' data, saying that the machine serial numbers it gathered aren't personally identifiable information.
